Welcome to the PA Improving Performance In Practice Program (PA IPIP)

PA IPIP Residency Program Collaborative

This is a learning collaborative for family medicine residency programs with physician faculty taking the lead role in coaching, educating, and evaluating participating sites. We are the largest single-state residency collaborative in the United States.

RPC Collaborative AIM Statement:

The Primary Care Residency Program Collaborative will work together to improve the care of patients and resident education via practice transformation.

RPC1 Focus for Year 2:

·         Achieve continuous improvement on diabetes and IVD process measures with the goal of at  least 70% for each measure. 

·         Achieve improvement in nationally recognized IPIP benchmarking standards for DM outcome measures, specific to A1C, blood pressure, and cholesterol control.

·         Conform to Patient –Centered Medical Home standards (as defined by organizations such as NCQA)

·         Enable residency programs to train resident physicians in practice transformation and evolving models of care delivery.

RPC2 Focus for Year 1:

Maintenance of Certification Part IV:

PA IPIP is an alternative activity for MOC Part IV for the American boards of family medicine and internal medicine. Participating physicians can receive credit for MOC Part IV after participating in the Residency Program Collaborative for one year and completing required activities.

AAFP CME credit:

This activity, PA IPIP Residency Program Collaborative, has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 20 Prescribed credit(s) by the American Academy of Family Physicians. AAFP accreditation begins December 31, 2010. Term of approval is for two years from this date.
